The visit covered four Alternative Learning Centres within Shagarab Camp to assess the progress of educational activities and review the learning environment provided for children.

The visit was conducted under the Project to Improve Foundational Literacy Skills among Primary School Children in Wad Al-Hilew Locality, Kassala State, funded by UNICEF. It aimed to monitor the implementation of educational activities, assess the performance of the centres, and ensure that appropriate conditions are in place to support children's learning and acquisition of essential foundational skills.

During the field tour, the delegation reviewed the ongoing activities at the centres and observed efforts to provide a safe, supportive, and conducive learning environment. These efforts are intended to expand children's access to education, strengthen their reading and writing skills, and establish the foundational knowledge they need to progress in their educational journeys.

Beyond routine field monitoring, the visit highlighted the importance of coordination and collaboration among project partners to ensure that activities are implemented in line with established objectives, educational services are continuously improved, and targeted children receive support that meets their learning needs and upholds their right to quality and safe education.

At the conclusion of the visit, Mr. Jaber Mansour commended the role of Jismar Organization for Humanitarian Security, expressing his appreciation for the efforts made to implement the project activities and achieve its objectives.
