Visit of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Delegation to North Kordofan State
As part of ongoing humanitarian efforts to assess the humanitarian situation and the basic needs of people affected by the crisis in North Kordofan State, a delegation from the **United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA)** conducted a field visit to the state in coordination with **Plan International Sudan** and in partnership with **JASMAR Human Security Organization**.
The visit aimed to gain a better understanding of the current humanitarian situation, assess the needs of affected communities, and review the availability of essential services, particularly **sexual and reproductive health services, protection from gender-based violence (GBV), and psychosocial support services**, with special attention to the needs of women, girls, and the most vulnerable groups.
The visit also provided an opportunity to strengthen coordination and cooperation among the participating organizations, exchange information on ongoing humanitarian interventions, and explore ways to improve responses to priority needs. These efforts are intended to enhance access to essential humanitarian services for targeted populations and improve the effectiveness of the humanitarian response across the state.
This visit underscores the importance of partnership and coordination among humanitarian organizations and relevant stakeholders, as well as the need for joint efforts to address the needs of crisis-affected populations, strengthen protection, and uphold human dignity in North Kordofan State.
