GBV Emergency Intervention for South Sudanese Refugees in White Nile State (Elagaia and Jouri)

This project focuses on providing emergency intervention to address Gender-Based Violence (GBV) among South Sudanese refugees in Elagaia and Jouri areas of White Nile State. The project includes several key activities aimed at raising awareness, changing behaviors, and providing essential support services, including:Support for advocacy campaigns to raise awareness about GBV.Development of Behavior Change Communication (BCC) materials and support for local media/radio to enhance community awareness of GBV issues.Community sensitization to reduce negative attitudes toward women and foster gender equality.Support for women- and youth-friendly spaces to provide safe and supportive environments for vulnerable groups.Establishment of referral pathways and community-based protection networks to ensure efficient response and support for GBV cases.This project is supported by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), with an estimated budget of 38,000 USD.
